The Greater Rochester Rotary donated 1,600 dictionaries to every Rochester third grader at the beginning of December.
Rochester third grade students, public and private, received a dictionary to take home and use as a reference. This is the eighth year the Greater Rochester Rotary has donated dictionaries.
The program is funded by grants from organizations and individuals, including: Sarah and Danny O'Brien; Thrivent Financial Rochester Group; Olmsted Medical Center; The Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation; Minnesota Energy Resources; US Bank; ADB Advertising; The Rotary U.S. Bank Holiday Classic; Gus Chafoulias; Olmsted County Deputy Sheriff's Association; The Jim and Judy Sloan Foundation; and individual members of the Greater Rochester Rotary.
