MANTORVILLE — A home near Mantorville was hit by gunfire from a nearby shooting range on Sunday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said it received the report around 11 a.m. An investigation found some rounds fired from the nearby Zumbro River Sportsmen's Club went over a safety berm and hit the house "some distance away."
Deputies found there was no reckless behavior and no one will be charged. But the club was notified, and it will discuss ways to make sure it doesn't happen again, the sheriff's office said.
