Habitat for Humanity fundraiser planned in Fillmore County

PRESTON — The Fillmore County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold a dance and live and silent auctions Oct. 2 at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds in Preston to benefit a new twin home currently under construction in Rushford.

Incognito, a popular Rochester band, will be playing from 7 to 10 p.m.

Tickets for the dance are $10 and are available at most of the banks in Fillmore County as well as at Harmony Foods, Preston Foods, and Rushford Foods. Matching funds are being provided by F&M Community Bank and Thrivent Financial.

Starting at 5 p.m., food and beverages will be made available by the Fillmore County Pork Producers, Fillmore County Cattlemen, Fillmore County Dairy Producers and Preston Servicemen's Club.

The fundraiser is also the culmination of the summer-long sale of raffle tickets for Habitat’s log playhouse. Raffle tickets are still available and you can see the playhouse at Preston Lumber in Preston. Tickets are $5.
