A growing physical therapy business, along with an anti-snoring/dental clinic, is gearing up to open in a new Southwest Rochester commercial building.
ActivePT & Sports is slated to open in Edina West, a recently built office building at 1309 N. Frontage Road Salem SW, yet this month.
“Expansion may seem crazy during a pandemic, but we've been growing each year and need a safe distance for patients to receive care,” wrote ActivePT co-owner Joan Kopacz. “This year, we have added locations at Rochester Progression Fitness, in St. Charles at SC Fitness & Studio A, in Byron at Anytime Fitness and will keep our location inside the Rochester Athletic Club as we expand.”
ActivePT, which Kopacz owns with Brian McQuilkin, will have 10 locations by the end of 2020. The first ActivePT clinic opened in Rochester in 2008.
Next to ActivePT, Rochester dentist Dr. Ryan Henrichsen is opening Respira: Airway, Snoring and TMJ. Henrichsen along with a myofunctional therapist and another dentist will treat people with customized, removable appliances to treat snoring and other sleep disorders. Respira will also work with ActivePT to help treat clients with TMJ.
The two businesses will fill the Edina West complex. It was built in late 2019 and then sold by DK Fox Hill LLC, a Rochester development firm spearheaded by John Klopp. It’s located on the corner of Fox Valley Drive Southwest and the North Frontage Road of Salem Road Southwest.
DK Fox Hill sold it for $1.8 million in September to two Rochester companies, Salem SW LLC and R & T Rochester Investments LLC.
Salem SW is led by Rochester builder and developer Bryan L. Schoeppner. R & T represents Dr. Ryan Henrichsen and his wife, Tara Henrichsen.
