Healthy Living Fair is Saturday at Rochester Downtown Farmers Market

Radish magazine's third-annual Healthy Living Fair will be held Saturday in downtown Rochester.

The free-admission fair will be held on the east side of the Rochester Downtown Farmers Market, at Fourth Street and Fourth Avenue Southeast, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The fair is sponsored by Radish, a healthy living magazine published by the Post-Bulletin, and held in partnership with the Rochester Downtown Farmers Market. It brings together more than 35 businesses to promote their products and services.

The fair will have free demonstrations, music by The Misty Mountain Boys, and food from Sontes. Free kids' activities will run from 8 a.m. to noon.

Demonstrations scheduled at the fair include:

• Zumba, led by the Rochester Area Family Y, 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

• "How to create happiness in your life," by Theresa French, owner of Theresa Talks and a life strategy and resilience coach, 8:45 to 9:15 a.m.

• An introduction to CrossFit Unshackled, by gym owners Chris and Angie Mundt and staff, 9:30 to 10 a.m.

• "What is straw bale gardening?" by Joel Karsten, author of the book "Straw Bale Gardens: The Breakthrough Method for Growing Vegetables Anywhere, Earlier and with No Weeding," 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

• Chickens 101: How to raise chickens at home with the right feed and equipment while following local rules. Led by Rochester Feed and Country Store staff, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
