A Tennessee home decor retailer plans to roll back into the Med City market.
Kirkland’s, which had a Rochester location from 2005 to 2012, is planning to open a new southwest store in the Golden Hills Retail Center.
The retailer sells accessories such as art, lamps, mirrors, candles and seasonal items.
It will build out a 8,233-square-foot space at the north end of the new retail center, which includes Marshalls, Ulta and Carter’s/OshKosh B’gosh.
Kirkland’s media team confirmed the plan Tuesday.

"Kirkland’s was previously in Rochester and has been searching for a new location since 2012. The opportunity opened up at Golden Hill, and we are excited to return to the city," according to its representative.
The hope is to open the store in spring 2019. The Nashville, Tenn.-based retailer has four Minnesota stores in the Twin Cities area.
This new Kirkland’s location will be larger than the previous 7,084-square-foot Rochester store that once anchored the Apache Shoppesretail center.
Biz buzz
I’m sniffing out plans for a new canine-focused operation that might be on its way to the Med City’s southwest quadrant.
It might be rough, but I’m "pawsative" that I’ll dig something up on this soon.
