AUSTIN — The condition of a Blooming Prairie man injured Friday morning in a head-on collision in which two others were killed has been upgraded to serious.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Paul J. Ingvaldson, 79, was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus in Rochester. He was originally listed in critical condition.
According to the State Patrol, Ingvaldson was driving north on Minnesota Highway 218 when his vehicle was hit by a southbound vehicle driven by Karl Erickson, 47, of Austin; his son, Elijah Erickson, 9, was a passenger. Both were killed.
The patrol said Karl Erickson crossed the center line, leading to the crash.
