DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa winner of a $16.5 million Hot Lotto jackpot still hasn't stepped forward.
Iowa Lottery officials say the winning ticket was bought at a QuikTrip convenience store Des Moines. The drawing was held Dec. 29, 2010.
The winner has until 4 p.m. on Dec. 29 to turn in the ticket at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines. Otherwise, the money will be forfeited. It would be the largest unclaimed prize in the state-run lottery's 26 years of operation.
