Jerry's Other Place restaurant closed Wednesday night, according to Julie Johnson, wife of former owner Scott Johnson.
"We got a call from our lawyer, saying bankruptcy court wanted us to shut it down," Julie said Thursday morning.
Forty-five minutes later, it was, she said.
"As of right now, everything's shut down until bankruptcy court can go into it, but for the time being, it's closed until further notice," Johnson said. "From there, I don't know what's going to happen, but we're pushing very hard now to get Home Plate open."
Johnson announced plans last week to open a new restaurant in the former Tolly's Time Out, which had closed in May.

With Jerry's Other Place closing, she said, her husband will now have the opportunity to help her with the new eatery.
"Scott's end of Jerry's will be done," she said. "We want all the (Jerry's) customers to know we greatly appreciate them, and didn't want to leave them in the lurch; now that Scott can put time into the kitchen and get it organized better, we're hoping to have it open by the end of November."
Johnson admitted there were some chaotic moments Wednesday when the other restaurant closed.
"We had lawyers down there, and the cops and everything," she said. Court representatives "know there are perishables, so they'll try to get in there today.
"We turned over the keys to the bankruptcy court rep, and they were going to change the locks, and it's all in the hands of the court now."
