MAZEPPA — A Kasson man was killed in a one-vehicle crash two miles west of Mazeppa on Wednesday morning.
Ryan M. Learmont, 25, was driving to his job in Mazeppa on Goodhue County Road 22 when he apparently fell asleep and went into a ditch, hitting two concrete culverts, according to a Goodhue County Sheriff's Office report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
(The Goodhue County reports says that early accounts of his SUV being submerged in water weren't accurate.)
Learmont had his seat belt fastened, the report says.
Mazeppa first responders assisted Goodhue County deputies at the scene.
