Kasson man faces sexual conduct charge in Olmsted County

A former Kasson School Board member accused of sexual contact with a teenage girl in Dodge County now faces a similar charge in Olmsted County.

Steven Paul Allen, 37, of Kasson, is charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony, involving the same girl he is charged with assaulting in Dodge County. A summons has been issued for him to be in Olmsted District Court  on April 12.

According to the criminal complaint, Olmsted County authorities received a copy of a Dodge County report on Nov. 16 regarding an alleged sexual assault that occurred on separate occasions in Olmsted and Dodge counties.

The  alleged victim was interviewed on Dec. 3. The girl said she knew Allen and his family. She said he touched her sexually during a visit in Rochester in 2009, according to the complaint.

In Dodge County, Allen is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving the same girl. That case remains open and an evidentiary hearing is set for March 24.
