KASSON — A 41-year-old Kasson woman died today from injuries suffered in a house fire.
Assistant Kasson Police Chief Kent Burghuis said the fire was reported at 1:46 a.m. today at a home in the 2000 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast. The woman was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus, where she later died, he said.
Her name is not being released, pending notification of relatives, he said.
There were three others in the home at the time; all were able to get out safely, he said.
A state fire marshal was called in to help determine the cause of the blaze, he said.
