The southbound lanes on South Broadway, between Fourth and Sixth streets, will be closed starting Monday.
The closure is to make way for sewer and water connection and disconnection work near the Urban on First construction project and the former Rosie Bell property at the intersection of South Broadway and Fourth Street, according to Rochester Public Works.
The closing is slated to continue through Friday.
Southbound traffic will be diverted to the east. Additionally, the northbound traffic lanes on this section of South Broadway will be converted to one southbound lane and one northbound lane during the week.
Access to the businesses on the west side of South Broadway will remain open, but access will be from the back alleyway.
