A former Command Judge Advocate for the Navy, and senior assistant Olmsted County attorney was sworn in Friday in Freeborn County a new Third Judicial District judge.
Ross Leuning was a Command Judge Advocate for the Navy for the past year and was previously a prosecutor in Olmsted County.
He was appointed earlier this year by Gov. Mark Dayton after a vacancy occurred with the retirement of Judge John Chesterman.
Leuning's family, including his wife and some of his six children attended the ceremony.
