A 51-year-old Rochester man has been charged with felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct after investigators say he assaulted a young girl.
Larry Ralph Berndt, 2315 Park Lane S.E., No. 16A, is scheduled to make his first appearance Aug. 19 in Olmsted County District Court.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim, who is under age 13, told a social worker in April that Berndt had touched her genitals several times.
She described the contact, estimating she was 5 years old the first time Berndt touched her, the court document says. Her mother allegedly told investigators the girl had said something about Berndt touching her, but said she was not aware of the circumstances.
According to the complaint, Berndt denied touching the girl sexually, but admitted they would wrestle or tickle each other.
