NAACP Minnesota/Dakotas Area State Conference President W.C. Jordan Jr. offered this statement:
"We are saddened and very disappointed with the outcome of this trial. At the end of the day, regardless of the legal analysis, the fact of the matter is that a young black man was profiled and killed. That in itself is a tragedy for all of us. We will use this moment to help build a nation where this can never happen again."
