Lourdes presents winning play in 1986

2010 — One year ago

Children's Resources and Referral has received a $1.3 million grant to improve school readiness for young, low-income children in the Rochester area. The grant is from the U.S. Department of Health and Social Services.

Lourdes High School students will present "Take Five," a one-act play. Cast members won first place in district competition, and students Ken Rowekamp and Jeannine Own were named best actor and actress among 54 students in the competing plays.

Law enforcement officers from southeastern Minnesota are attending a basic police course by the Minnesota Crime Bureau for two weeks at the Rochester courthouse.

About 150 Rochester Junior College students and their dates attended the "Mardi Gras" formal dance at the 4-H building as part of Sno-Week activities.
