RED WING — A Red Wing man was sentenced to a year in jail beginning Feb. 1 after pleading guilty to first-degree controlled substance crime. An 86-month prison sentence was stayed during his sentencing Dec. 3.
Four other drug-related charges were dismissed when Antonio NiGiy Smith, 19, entered his plea.
He was arrested after a confidential informant made several controlled buys from him in the Red Wing area, according to a complaint filed July 8.
