A 47-year-old man was injured early today in a one-vehicle accident near Eighth Avenue and 11th Street Northwest in Rochester.
Assistant fire marshal Larry Mueller said fire crews were sent to the scene about 1:20 a.m. The man's minivan had gone onto a boulevard and sidewalk, hit a utility pole, sheared off the left front of the vehicle and nearly hit a large tree. The man was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Saint Marys Hospital.
