Rochester police are investigating after a 26-year-old man said he was assaulted early Sunday morning.
Officers responded about 3 a.m. to a business in the 1900 block of Scott Road Northwest, where the victim had walked from somewhere in the 2900 block of Charles Court, said Capt. John Sherwin.
The man said he'd been out with some friends earlier, then went to an apartment with six people he didn't know well. At the apartment, the men knocked him to the ground, kicked him and punched him in the face, the report says. They stole his wallet and cell phone.
The man didn't seek medical treatment, Sherwin said.
