MANTORVILLE — Fire trucks from Mantorville and Dodge Center responded to a fire in the basement of a house at 21760 590th St., in Mantorville on Wednesday afternoon.

Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen reported that no one was injured. He said the fire had been confined to the basement. The cause was not known.

Jensen said that State Fire Marshal Steve Wolf would be investigating.

Jensen said the fire was in the Mantorville Fire Department’s territory but they called for mutual aid when they learned it was a structure fire, especially with high winds blowing through the neighborhood.
