MANTORVILLE — A Dodge County deputy who is also mayor of Mantorville pleaded guilty last week to one count of driving while impaired was sentenced to two years probation and fined $1,005.
As part of a plea Wednesday, a second DWI charge against Luke Gordon Nash, 46, of 302 West St. was dropped, and he was given a suspended one-year jail sentence.
He was charged after being stopped at 4:30 a.m. Feb. 10. Nash's vehicle went off the road and crashed into a pole near Dodge County roads 34 and 9, according to Lt. Eric Roeske, a public information officer for the state patrol.
Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen said Monday that Nash's employment status has not changed.
