The Zumbro Valley Health Center announced Thursday that the Mayo Clinic has donated $89,000 to the organization to support its integrated care delivery model.
Th Zumbro Valley Health Center is a 50-year-old organization whose mission is to improve the health of those in southeast Minnesota through providing services pertaining to behavioral health, medical, dental and community support.
"Mayo Clinic has been a longtime supporter of our efforts to improve the delivery of care through the integration of services and use of interdisciplinary teams," said Chief Executive Officer Dave Cook. "Their support has been critical to the development of the infrastructure for our new model of care."
The funds through the donation will go toward the operational costs to serve those who are under-insured or uninsured in southeast Minnesota, according to a Zumbro Valley Health Center news release. This will be done through the delivery of mental and chemical health as well as medical and care coordination services.
