Two unidentified males broke into a home on the 2900 block of 75th Street Northwest this weekend and attempted to assault a 14-year-old male, according to Lt. Dan Muyres of the Rochester Police Department.
The victim heard knocking on the door and saw two males at the front door in dark clothing. He grabbed a metal baseball bat before the suspects entered the home, according to Muyres.
After entering the home, the suspects attempted to assault the 14-year-old. The victim was able to strike one of the suspects in the arm with the bat, and the suspects fled. The victim sustained no injuries.
The Police Department's K-9 unit was unable to track the suspects, and nothing is believed to have been taken from the home, Muyres said.
