More than two hundred customers in northeast Rochester lost power for two hours Thursday night before it was restored.
Rochester Public Utilities spokesman Tony Benson said the power outage was reported around 9:30 p.m. and occurred in the 700 block of Zumbro Drive Northeast in Rochester. Utility crews reported finding a broken wire. At this point, Benson said they do not know what caused the outage. Some residents reported hearing a loud bang and Benson said he is not sure at this point what caused that.
RPU crews had the power back up to all 209 customers by 11:30 p.m.
