Mother, 3 children injured in Minn. explosion

TRACY, Minn. — A mother and her three young daughters remain hospitalized following a house explosion in southwestern Minnesota.

Regions Hospital said Monday Sonja Timmons and her 8-year-old daughter, Kaylee, are in critical condition. Timmons' 2-year-old daughter, MKena, is in serious condition and her 2-month old daughter, Jaydn, is in good condition.

The cause of the explosion in Tracy Saturday evening is still under investigation.

Neighbors Matt and Sheena Schons came to the aid of the family following the explosion and fire. While Sheena called 911, Matt Schons ran across the street, into the house and rescued the baby. Timmons and her other two daughters had already made it outside the house.

Tracy Fire Chief Dale Johnson tells the Marshall Independent (http://tinyurl.com/9xntpa5) the house is a total loss.
