Mower County Senior Center: Holidays can be a season of sadness

The Holiday Season can be a joy-filled time, but for those who have suffered a great loss, especially the death of a loved one, the holidays can be difficult. But the holidays do not necessarily have to be entirely sad.

Join us as we discuss ways to cope with your grief and give new meaning to the holiday season. Mary Kittelson, Worlein Funeral Home's community services director, will be introducing and playing the video Embracing Grief. In the video Mary lined up the six families who shared their stories, and it won a national Telly Award. Please stop by or call the Senior Center at 433-2370 to let us know you will be attending.

Don't forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1, and a sandwich for 50 cents. On Tuesday, we are serving Tator Tot Hotdish for only $2. You are always welcome at the center.
