AUSTIN - The United Way of Mower County is looking for a new executive director after Mandi Lighthizer-Schmidt resigned to return to Willmar, her home town.
Her last day was Thursday. She became executive director in May, 2005.
The United Way has advertised for her replacement. Those wanting to be considered must apply by Jan. 15. The board hopes to find a candidate to make an offer to a new executive director by early February.
The job description is states the executive director will recruit community volunteers, raise money, direct day-to-day operations and carry out the group's mission of "mobilizing the caring power of the community, to create lasting changes in the lives of people in Mower County."
