MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police say a suspect tried to grab an officer's gun during a series of events Friday that left the suspect and a motorcyclist dead and a woman injured.

The suspect first allegedly fled a traffic stop and broke into a house. Police say the suspect and officers had a physical altercation there and the suspect tried to grab an officer's gun. Shots were fired, the suspect was killed and two officers were injured.

Police are investigating the details of the shooting.

While officers rushed to the scene, police say a motorcyclist struck a squad car that had its lights and sirens on at an intersection. Police say the squad was traveling below the speed limit.

The motorcyclist died. A female passenger and the officers were in satisfactory condition Saturday.
