New chancellor begins work at MnSCU

ST. PAUL — A new chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities begins work today.

Although Steven Rosenstone officially starts his job, he's already logged more than 4,000 miles visiting 24 colleges and universities.

Rosenstone was appointed chancellor in February by the Board of Trustees. He was the university's vice president for scholarly and cultural affairs before leaving that post last week.

Minnesota's 31 state community and technical colleges, and universities serve more than 430,000 students across the state.
