No big storm after all

The big snow storm southeastern Minnesota was supposed to get last night and this morning missed most of our area. The corner of the state remained in a winter weather advisory this morning and there were some school delays.

For most of our area, however, the National Weather Service forecasted a slight chance of rain and snow before 10 a.m., followed by a chance for rain until noon.

The skies should mostly clear later and we can expect a high of near 45 degrees. It should also be a breezy day, with a north wind between 13 mph and 16 mph. Tonight, expect a low of 26.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 39 and low of about 26 Thursday night.

Friday will be mostly sunny again, with a high near 46, the weather service says.
