The Minnesota Department of Transportation is conducting an open house to answer questions regarding a bridge replacement near Hayfield.
Engineers from the state will be at the Rock Dell Township Hall, 8938 Olmsted County Road 3, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 8. to discuss the project, including a tentative timeline, detours and new bridge features.
This project is to replace the Highway 30 bridge east of Hayfield. That bridge was built in 1951. Construction on Highway 30 near Dodge County Road 15 is expected to begin in June 2016 and is anticipated to be completed in September 2016.
Several work will include grading, paving, and replacement of the bridge along with guardrail installation.
