HAYFIELD — The Hey Days Celebration in Hayfield began Wednesday with the judging of 13 Hayfield High School juniors competing for Miss Hey Days.
Winners will be announced at the Miss Hey Days Scholarship Pageant at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans Memorial Park.
Contestants need to find a sponsor, do at least 10 hours of community service and maintain a positive image of themselves and the community. They are judged on an interview, formal attire, public speaking, their community service essay and other factors.
Hey Days runs from Friday through Sunday with food, games, Field of Flags, entertainment and a parade at 2 p.m. Sunday. Details are on the Web at http://hayfieldcelebrationsinc.yolasite.com.
