Stephanie Podulke says she'll run for re-election to the Olmsted County Board this fall.
Podulke currently is board chairwoman after being elected in 2011 to fill the remaining two years of the term of her husband, Mike Podulke, who died in office after representing the district for nearly 25 years. She represents board district 1, which includes the Mayo and John Marshall high school areas as well as downtown.
Podulke has owned Rochester Stained Glass for about 40 years and her work history includes being a high school teacher, a day-care provider, a program manager for residential group homes and an in-home family therapist.
Before entering politics, she volunteered and was involved with the Rochester Charter Commission, Olmsted County Youth Commission, R-Neighbors, the Kutzky Park Neighborhood Association, Habitat for Humanity, Child Care Resource & Referral, and the League of Women Voters.
