Mayo Clinic announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Scanlon to the thoracic disease and internal medicine department. Scanlon interned and was a resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Potato donuts are 20 cents a dozen at the Federal Bake Shop. Fresh devil’s food, spice, white and coconut cakes are 23 cents each.
