Rabies vaccinations to be offered Wednesday

Olmsted County Public Health Services and local veterinarians are partnering to offer rabies vaccinations on Wednesday.

Dogs, cats, and ferrets will be vaccinated for only $20 each. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their animals in pet carriers or on a leash.

Licensed veterinarians will be providing vaccinations from morning until evening at five locations in Rochester:

• 8 a.m. to noon at Jeff's Little Store (3335 Marion Road SE).

• 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Rochester Feed and Country Store (5 11th St. SE)

• 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Olmsted County History Center (1195 W. Circle Drive SW), and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Rochester Fire Department, No. 4 (41st Street Northwest) and the Heintz Center at RCTC (1926 College View Rd. E., Door #H10).

Rabies vaccinations also will be available at sites throughout rural Olmsted County:

• Chatfield from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (115 S. Main), Byron from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (25 Frontage Road NE).

• Eyota from 5 p.m. to to 7 p.m. (95 Center Av. N), Stewartville from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (205 S Main St.) and Marion from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Mini Mart Gas & Grocery Hwy 52 S).
