A man arrested earlier this week on an Olmsted County warrant now faces additional charges after authorities say he tried to bring drugs into the jail.
Tyler James Borchardt, 24, who lists a Shakopee address, was arrested in Scott County; he was brought Thursday to Rochester to be held for court here.
A search prior to his admission to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center turned up 1.3 grams of heroin and a syringe, said Capt. Scott Behrns, "hidden in such a way that most people wouldn't find it."
Behrns praised the detention center staff for finding the items that had been "hidden so well Scott County didn't find it."
