Robbers take cash from stroke victim
MINNEAPOLIS — Police in Minneapolis are looking for the robbers who took cash from a stroke patient after a fundraiser.
Authorities say the fundraiser at Jimmy's Bar was held to help the 45-year-old Andover woman pay for medical bills from a recent stroke and surgery. Police say the robbers took about $1,300 from the woman outside the bar Saturday night.
The criminals have been know to scout fundraisers, attend them and then steal from the person leaving with the cash, said Sgt. Jesse Garcia. No arrests have been made.
