The Rochester Issues Forum on Wednesday will take a look at the future of job growth in Rochester.
The forum, which is free and open to the public, will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Rochester Public Library auditorium. It is sponsored by the library and RNeighbors.
Rick Roy, director of Workforce Systems Coordination at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, will present an overview of the current job market and income situation in Rochester and the surrounding area and describe the future of living-wage jobs under a variety of scenarios of projected growth.
After the presentation, there will be a participant-driven discussion about the kinds of jobs and wages citizens would like to see here.
