Rochester recognized as 'Tree City'
For the 28th year, Rochester has been named a Tree City USA Community by the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation. The designation recognizes cities for their commitment to urban forestry.
Rochester has met the designation's four criteria: It has a tree board or department, a tree-care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
