A threat of bad weather on Friday has forced the Rochester Tea Party Patriots to cancel their annual tax day protest.
The event had been scheduled Friday evening at Soldiers Field Memorial in Rochester, but with a chance of only 44 degrees, an 80 percent change of rain and winds gusting up to 40 mph, organizers called it quits.
"As you can see, this was a terrible forecast," said Tea Party organizers in an announcement. "The worst part was the wind...Though we did not want to do it, we sadly had to make the choice to cancel this year's Tax Day Rally."
