Rollover crash injures Iowa man

SPRING VALLEY — An Iowa man was injured Sunday morning when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving in Mower County.

Lumir A. Dedic, 82, of Hampton, was westbound on U.S. Highway 63 near the intersection with 795th Avenue in Mower County. He lost control of the SUV, which then rolled, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report says the roads were icy at the time of the crash, which was reported at 8:11 a.m.

Dedic, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken by Spring Valley Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys Campus, where he was listed in good condition Sunday afternoon.

Also responding to the scene were deputies with Mower County and Fillmore County sheriff's offices and firefighters with Spring Valley Fire Department.
