Ronald McDonald House to receive grant

Southeast Minnesota BP stores and Hartland Fuel Products plan to give the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester a grant of more than $6,200.

The grant, to be presented Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald House, comes from BP's Fueling Communities Program, which provides gifts to local organizations that are nominated by BP marketers. BP has 13 stores in the area.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for children undergoing medical care and their families. During 2011, 990 families stayed at the Rochester house.
