The experience of local veterans during the Korean War will be the topic of the next meeting of the Scott Hosier Veterans Roundtable at 7 p.m. Monday at Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Road S.W., Rochester.
The speakers are Jerry Graf, Dick Fuller and Wilbur "Swede" Anderson.
Graf was a member of the 5th Battalion of the 1st Marine Division, and will talk about being surrounded at the battle of Chosin Reservoir in November and December 1950.
Fuller was an Army infantryman in the 17th Infantry Regiment of the 7th Division. He will talk about the amphibious landing at Inchon in September 1950, and being part of advance outposts. He was later wounded by an artillery blast and returned to be part of the support troops at the Battle of Pork Chop Hill.
Anderson, a Navy quartermaster, was serving on the fleet tug USS Sarsi when it hit a mine in Korean waters and sunk in a matter of minutes.
