LAKE CITY — Immaculee Ilibagiza , a Rwandan genocide survivor , will present herstory and deep faith experience at 7 p.m. June 18 at St. Mary of the Lake Church , 419 W. Lyon Ave. in Lake City.
Twenty years ago, Ilibagiza had to hide in a small bathroom with seven other women while about a half million people were massacred in the African country as part of an attempt to wipe out one of the tribes in the country.
Despite the horror, her faith in God grew deeper each day.
Tickets for the talk, which are limited, are $20 each. Tickets and books by Ilibagiza are available at the church or go to www.stmaryslakecity.org.
