Caledonia Public Schools and the Spring Grove Area Past Present and Future Inc. received paint from the Paint the Town program of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.
Caledonia schools will use 33 gallons for murals throughout the elementary school while Spring Grove will use 19 gallons to paint a welcome mural on the side of the Northern Engraving Building.
The paint for the five projects is worth $2,475. This program is a partnership between SMIF and 13 local Ace Hardware stores to help paint a mural or community welcome sign.
