RANDOLPH — The Dakota County Sheriff's Office conducted a search by foot, boat and helicopter for a missing woman near Lake Byllesby on Thursday.
The search began after a man called 911 around 6:30 a.m. to report that his 59-year-old wife had made suicidal comments before running away in a Randolph neighborhood that borders Lake Byllesby.
Police officers and firefighters were dispatched to search the neighborhood, while a boat was also launched on the lake, according to Chief Deputy Joe Leko. The Minnesota State Patrol also called in a helicopter equipped with heat-seeking equipment in hopes of locating the woman before she hurt herself.
The woman was later found unharmed.
