See Peterson, enjoy Norwegian food, listen to a recorder concert

PETERSON — The third annual Christmas in Peterson, with singing, shopping and Norwegian foods, will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 in Peterson, which is a few miles west of Rushford.

As part of the event, there will be seven drawings, a chance to see what's being sold at local vendors, hay wagon rides, a chance for those grades three through five to make holiday gifts, food, a visit from Santa about 3 p.m. and a recorder music concert by the Dames Rockets of Decorah Iowa. Finally, you can try Norwegian heart waffles and rommegrot.

If you have extra mittens, bring them along and donate them to the needy on the mitten tree at the Peterson Bandstand.
