Showers, thunderstorms expected in Rochester area

In a forecast updated at 12:11 p.m., the National Weather Service predicted that showers and thunderstorms were likely to arrive in Rochester sometime after 3 p.m., accompanied by wind gusts reaching 25 mph. Up to a quarter inch of rain was expected, with higher amounts in areas of thunderstorms.
