Six candidates filed for Olmsted County board

Four incumbent candidates and two challengers have filed for election to Olmsted County's four Board of Commissioners seats up for election this year.

Stepahnie Podulke , who is serving as chairwoman of the board, filed for re-election in District 1. Podulke has served on the county board since a 2011 special election and she won against one challenger in 2012.

In District 3, the county board's longest serving member, Paul F. Wilson, faces a familiar challenger , Gregg Wright. Both Wilson and Wright have filed for election. Wilson defeated Wright in a 2012 election for the District 3 seat. Wilson has served on the county board since 1994.

Jim Bier has filed for re-election in the county board's Fifth District, a seat he has held since 2002. Bier last won election running against one challenger in 2012. No other candidate had filed for election in the district as of Monday.

Lou Ohly has filed for re-election in District 7, where he has served since the 2013 voluntary departure of incumbent board member Judy Ohly — Lou's wife — when she ran for election to the Minnesota Senate.
